Bowriding: The Online Journal of Key Ideas in Teaching, Learning, and Libraries

Bowriding is what dolphins do when they surf in the wake created by larger animals or vessels. Normally, they glide happily under the surface and pop up to breathe. However, sometimes the pressure waves become overpowering. Like dolphins, educators are often overwhelmed by models and mandates. This journal focuses on assimilating the most effective ideas into teaching, learning, and libraries.

This online journal highlights short articles that reflect on the wide range of concepts related to teaching, learning, and libraries.

All articles are written by graduate students in Information Inquiry for Teachers at Indiana University at Indianapolis. Keep in mind that some of the articles are based on fictional situations. Articles are selected each semester for inclusion in the list.

Keep in mind that the article requirements vary each semester.
